I guess most of ya'll are from Florida and hunt in all kind of swamps and stuff. How do your dogs deal with those gators. We got a few here but rarely do we come across one.My dogs handle themselves pretty well on a big boar but a gator don't know what they would do.We just kinda don't even think about a gator when we go hunting.

Its pretty much the same here. Ive herd of atleast 10 friends dogs gettin snagged. ive seen peoples dogs bay up a gator in a ditch once and one time we had one bayed up in a pasture and let the catch dog go and he got his head split opened.

we got em here bad , If you value your dog hunt the high ground in the summer . For some stupid reason the good ones must taste better cause the dang gator will go past a cull to eat a good dog . If you hunt the swamp its a chance you take , dont dmp a bunch of dogs out at 1 time and try to stay on top of them and flank them in the boat . The garmin has saved several dogs cause you can tell when they in the water . When they are in the water down here its just a matter of time . the boat keeps alot of them run off but so does a .22 mag . I would learn to frog gig and learn how to control the population while you frog giggin . I HATE A DANG GATOR . Ive been lucky but ive been on top of my "A" game when ive hunted these places . I wish what ever got the dinosaurs would have got the gators also . This is my biggest fear for my dogs is gettin eaten by a gator . Last year I thought 1 was gonna get my Joe dog ,I was on the bank with no gun and he was swimming back across the river and I saw something black swiming in the river through the bushes headed towards Joe and I hollered gator to Jimmy and about had a damn come apart trying ti find a stick to throw but luckily it was the hog in the water and all I could see was his head and didnt have a clear view ...Ima tell you that was a helpless feeling ...I dont leave the four wheeler without the magnum no more

I know certain areas you have to be real careful. like immokalee, lake trafford, alligator alley & sr 29, kissimee river and a lot other places but those places worry me the most because they have a real aggresive nature.
